Custom & Import Tax

To adapt this Customs and Duties Policy for the Italian market, we need to account for EU Import Regulations.

Since July 2021, the EU has strict VAT (IVA) rules for all commercial goods entering from outside the EU. I have updated the text to reflect Sereotsopetcollarit, changed the currency to Euros (€), and replaced USPS with international shipping standards relevant to Italy.

Sereotsopetcollarit Customs & Duties Policy (Italy)

Updated on: September 7, 2025

1. Who is responsible for paying duties and taxes for international shipments?

For orders shipped to Italy from outside the European Union (EU), the Consignee (Recipient) is the importer of record and is responsible for any Import VAT (IVA), customs duties, and administrative handling fees required by the Agenzia delle Dogane (Italian Customs). These charges are not included in your purchase price and must be paid directly to the carrier or customs authorities upon arrival.

2. How much will I need to pay for import duties and VAT?

The total cost depends on the value of the goods and current Italian tax laws:

  • VAT (IVA): In Italy, a standard rate of 22% typically applies to the total value (item price + shipping).

  • Customs Duty: For shipments with a total value exceeding €150, additional customs duties may apply depending on the product category.

  • Handling Fees: Italian couriers (such as Poste Italiane or DHL) may charge a small administrative fee for processing the customs clearance.

Note: We typically declare a commercial value between €20 and €140 for international shipments to ensure accurate processing. While we mark packages clearly, final assessments are strictly determined by Italian Customs officials.

3. What will we do to help manage your import costs?

We aim to make the process as smooth as possible. If you have specific requirements regarding the Declared Value on your commercial invoice (Proforma Invoice), please contact us at service@sereotsopetcollarit.com immediately after placing your order.

If no instructions are provided, we will declare a value based on the package weight and size (typically between €20 and €140) to facilitate standard clearance.

4. What happens if the package encounters customs clearance issues?

If your package is held by the Agenzia delle Dogane, we will provide the following support:

  • Documentation: We will provide you with a digital copy of the shipping invoice and any necessary transaction proofs required by customs.

  • Carrier Coordination: We will assist in communicating with the international carrier to track the status of the clearance.

  • Resolution: In the rare event of specific administrative clearance fees, please contact us so we can review your case and provide guidance on how to proceed.
